2021 has certainly been a year for the history books. Although there were many positives, it was a challenging year for so many. We truly hope 2022 is a brighter year that brings peace, joy and a little love.

We Wish You A Happy & Healthy New Year!

Can you believe 2020 is around the corner? It was only 20 years ago, the world was turning 2000 and for those that have been around for a bit, it was the much anticipated Y2K. A big computer glitch was expected to affect computers and the storage of data and cause major issues. It didn’t really materialize, but something has happened since that time. Y2K got us thinking about technology and how much it’s evolved. Then we happened on a great tweet compiled by Jon Erlichman of CTV National News that listed all the things that were NOT around 20 years ago. It’s quite a list and just goes to show us how much the world can change in 20 years’ time. Why do we say this? Well with the issues of climate change affecting all of us as we move forward into a New Year, it proves all kinds of achievements happen that move us forward. Which gives us hope going into 2020. It’s been a busy year, there were so many amazing events this year. As to what was popular on our site, we can say it was a great artistic event, beer and spirits, live music & art. Specifically, the iconic Parade of Lost Souls, our write up on the Powell Street Self-Guided Tour, the 2nd Annual Beer Festival at Wise Hall, the Trout Lake Summer Concert Series and, of course, our personal favourite the Eastside Culture Crawl.
