CiderWISE: A Cider & Gluten Free Beer Tasting Event At The Wise Hall February 8th

4 Feb

CiderWiseWiseHallYou are invited to CiderWISE taking place at the Wise Hall, 1882 Adanac Street, this Saturday, February 8th. The event brought to you by CAMRA Vancouver and Untapped will be a bit of an education and a bit of fun.  There will be an actual Education Stage with CAMRA Vancouver’s Danny Seeton who will talking about makes gluten free beer good and how the process has changed.  Also on hand, will be Alex who is a ‘cider evangelist’ from cidermonger.com.  He will discuss his passion for cider and give you the run down on all things cider.  His reputation I hear precedes him, so if you like cider, this is the man to talk to.

Want a bite of something to eat in between tastings? Culver City Salads Food Truck will be set up outside the Wise Hall for your snacking pleasure with gluten free salads of course.  They are getting quite the reputation around town. And I do mean that in a good way with good healthy innovative salads.

Tickets for CiderWISE are available at Brown Paper Tickets for $20 for CAMRA/WISE Members and $25 for non-members. Event kicks off at Noon and goes till 4:00 pm.

Tipperposter2014

The Tipper Restaurant & Review Room, 2066 Kingsway (at Victoria), continues its Saturday Night Concert Series with live music by Highrise Lonesome tonight. If you come for a bite of dinner first, come early, as the restaurant is small and can be busy. Or a personal favourite that is close by and within walking distance is the Green Lettuce Restaurant, 1949 Kingsway. The food is a mix of Asian cuisines (Indian and Chinese) and pretty delicious from personal experience and reports by others.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. at the Tipper Restaurant & Review Room and the show gets going at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.
