You are invited to unleash your inner artist with the Sunshine Team Paint Nite Vancouver. They will be hosting a 2 hour sip and paint party at East Van Brewing Co. 1675 Venables Street on Sunday, January 21, 2024. You will be provided all the supplies along with instructions and guidance. Local artist, Tana Lynn, is hosting a mixed media workshop on Sunday, February 10th. The aim of this workshop is for you to create a personal gift of art for your loved one. Something personal, made with heart is the way Valentine’s Day should be. In this workshop, Tana Lynn, will lead you through a project that the whole class makes together, thus it will be the same piece. After that, you will be free to create your own unique art piece. Thus, you will be leaving with not 1, but 2 pieces of art. No experience is necessary for this workshop and all supplies will be included. Arts Umbrella and River District, 8683 Kerr Street, have collaborated to bring a fall session of Draw, Paint and More at the River District Centre. This is a visual arts program offered for children ages 6 – 9 years. Classes will run for 10 weeks on Mondays from September 16th – December 2nd from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Kids will create 2D and 3D projects using tempura, water-colour, pastel, chalk, and a variety of found objects. They will also study patterns, textures, and colours and learn to use clay, wood, paper, and other materials in unconventional ways. The cost of the program is $200 per student.
