BC SPCA’s Barktoberfest Raises $4,608.25

The Vancouver SPCA is pleased to announce that the recent fundraiser Barktoberfest held on October 3rd at Ceili’s Irish Pub raised $4,608.25!  This was a fundraiser for both the Vancouver and Burnaby SPCA shelters. Charlotte Ellice, the SPCA’s Vancouver Branch Manager, is pleased to report that over 100 people attended and fun was had by all. The Vancouver SPCA sends heartfelt thanks to all those that participated in this event with a special shout out to their sponsors Arts Automotive and Aqua Paws Canine Water Wellness. Your support goes a long ways to meeting the needs of those that can’t speak for themselves.  We thank you.

Barktoberfest: Fundraiser for SPCA Coming October 3, 2013

You are invited to Barktoberfest being held on October 3rd at Ceili’s Irish Pub, 670 Smithe Street. Although the location is outside of East Van, this event is to raise funds for the Vancouver and Burnaby SPCA Shelters.  Tickets for the event are $10.00 which includes admission and a drink ticket or for $25 you get a burger, beer and a ticket for the raffle entry. Note a veggie option will be available.  There will be games, a silent auction, raffle draws, 50/50 draw and swag.  The goal is raise $5,000 for the evening.  You can purchase tickets online or at the door. Proud sponsors of this event are some local East Van businesses Arts Automotive and Aqua Paws Canine Water Wellness. The event gets under way at 6:00 p.m.

The Vancouver SPCA is still looking for some additional items for the silent auction and raffle prizes for Barktoberfest.  If you are a local business and wish to provide a donation in kind, the SPCA would love to hear from you.    All donations will greatly assist them in reaching their financial goal and help them do the great work that they do in the community.   If you wish to make a donation, contact Charlotte Ellice, Vancouver SPCA’s Branch Manager at 604-709-4699 or email her at cellice@spca.bc.ca.  We thank you in advance for helping those that can’t speak for themselves.
