The Great Grandview Garage Sale Is Back June 15th

The popular Great Grandview Garage Sale is back for another year Saturday June 15th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm rain or shine. Whether you are a bargain hunter, looking for an awesome vintage find, or just a great deal on something, this is the spot to be. The Great Grandview Garage Sale is a multi-family garage sale that takes place, as the name eludes, throughout the Grandview-Woodlands area of East Vancouver. Specifically from Broadway to the Burrard Inlet and from Clark Drive to Nanaimo Street. If you live in the area, you are invited to participate and it is FREE to sign up.   Of course, if you have some young entrepreneur at home, a lemonade stand for all those thirsty shoppers might come in handy. All Souls Night At Mountain View Cemetery October 25 to November 1

You are invited to participate in All Souls Night which takes place at Mountain View Cemetery October 25 to November 1.   This event is curated by artist Paula Jardine and Marina Szijarto and was created to provide opportunities for the public to commemorate their dead with a family-oriented community art event. Artists and community members come together to create a sanctuary for remembrance and reflection. You are encouraged to bring a lantern and candles as well as photos to create a memorial for a loved one in a gentle atmosphere. The event takes place rain or shine so you are encouraged to dress for the weather. Live ambient music can be heard throughout most of the event.   We’ve set out a schedule of some of the events below. For more information, visit Night For All Souls.

Car Free Days In East Van

Car Free Days return for another year. In East Vancouver, they will be happening September 9th on Commercial Drive (North Grandview Highway to 1st Avenue) and September 16th on Main Street (10th Avenue to King Edward Avenue).   Both festivals kick off at Noon and run till 7:00 pm. Car Free Days is a chance to experience the City with more space for pedestrians.  Expect to find activities for all ages, locally-based vendors in each neighbourhood.  This is a free family friendly event in which walking, cycling and taking transit to the event is encouraged. Mindful Moves In Pandora Park July 26 – August 16

We invite you to check out another great opportunity to get outdoors and do some gentle exercise.   Mindful Moves comes to Pandora Park July 26 to August 16, 2023. This a free event that is sponsored by a Neighbourhood Small Grant and features gentle yoga, live music and happy grooves. Figaro’s Garden Centre Hosts Urban Bird Walk May 27th

Figaro’s Garden Centre is hosting a free one hour urban bird walk Saturday, May 27th.  Experienced guide, Sydney Burstein, will take you on a tour of the neighbourhood through the eyes of a birding enthusiast.  You are invited to come along and get to know some of Vancouver’s feathered friends that you share a home with. Just Off Main – Free Outdoor Event August 14th

Just Off Main is an event happening Saturday, August 14th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and you guessed it, just off Main Street. This free outdoor event will be happening on various side streets up and down Main Street. Things available to see, eat or drink include beer, burgers and dance as well as live music and yes ballerinas. Hub Cycling will be on hand along with other community organizations. There will be activities for the kids along with ice cream and cotton candy.
