The Great Grandview Garage Sale is a multi-family garage sale that takes place, as the name eludes, throughout the Grandview-Woodlands area of East Vancouver. Specifically from Broadway to the Burrard Inlet and from Clark Drive to Nanaimo Street. Tugboat Landing Multi-Family Garage Sale Saturday May 28th In SE Vancouver

If you are on the hunt for some great finds, you may wish to check out the Tugboat Landing Multi-Family Garage Sale happening Saturday, May 28th in SE Vancouver. The garage sale happens at 2010 East Kent Avenue (at Victoria Drive) just a block below Marine Drive. This is an indoor event which means it goes ahead rain or shine from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. If you aren’t familiar with the area, it is located on a public walkway and cycle path just steps away from Gladstone Park and less than a mile West of the new River District development.

At the Tugboat Landing Large Multi-Family Garage Sale you can expect to find a variety of items including vintage clothing and household items from Vintage East Van and The General Vintage. You will also find a large selection of items from local residents including new clothing, home décor, gardening supplies, art work, books, shoes, ceramics and much more. We understand at last count 15 vendors will be on hand. There will also be some refreshments and snacks will be available by donation.

Free street parking is available in the area. For those travelling by bus, the Victoria 20 will get you within 2 blocks of the venue and the 100 bus that travels East and West along Marine between 22nd St Station and the Marpole Loop stops at Victoria and Marine Drive, 1 block from the venue. Stop by, you never know what you might find.

Great Grandview Garage Sale Returns June 17, 2017

GreatGrandviewGarageSaleLogoFor all you bargain and vintage hunters, it is time to once again mark your calendars for the Great Grandview Garage Sale which is back on Saturday, June 17th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. This  multi-family garage sale now in its 4th year draws a crowd even in the rain which we hear put a bit of a damper on things last year. This event takes place throughout the Grandview-Woodlands area of East Vancouver. Specifically from Broadway to the Burrard Inlet and from Clark Drive to Nanaimo Street. If you live in the area, you are invited to participate and it is FREE to sign up. Note though, for organizers there is some effort to put it all together and get signs printed. This year you will see a ‘Donate’ button on their main page. Organizers are asking for a small donation of $2-5 to cover the cots of signs and for a $10 donation they will thrown in a sign for you. Having done a fair bit of organizing in our day, we think this is more than fair.  Whether you live in a home, walk up apartment building, co-operative housing, no matter, everyone is welcome to participate. If you are the one looking for those bargains or vintage finds, think of it as one big treasure hunt. Who knows what you might come across in your travels. Multi-Address Garage Sale In South Hill Saturday, June 22nd

The South Hill Neighbours Society is putting on a multi-address community garage sale tomorrow, Saturday, June 22nd.   With so many participants, the chances of putting your hands on that perfect find are certainly greater.  Also, having everything centralized in one geographic area means you don’t have to travel far to the next home.  The garage sales get under way at 10:00 a.m.  We have set out a list of the participating addresses and a hint of some of the items that will be available:

> 5828 Sophia Street

> 528 East 44th Avenue – Lots of baby & kids’ items

> 286 East 45th Avenue (in the lane)

> 520 East 47th Avenue

> 626 East 47th Avenue (front yard) – Hockey & golf equipment, children’s       books, clothing & housewares.

> 586 East 48th Avenue – Vintage furniture, books, CDs, DVDs, wall décor & more.

> 660 East 51st Avenue – Multi-family sale  – The Education Building at First United Mennonite Church

> 427 East 55th Avenue (back yard sunny day, inside rainy day)

>  219 East 62nd Avenue (at Main Street) – ABC 123 Family Child Care   – Educational toys, children’s furniture & books, riding toys & other household.

The Eastside Flea

The Eastside Flea is coming to the Wise Hall, 1882 Adanac Street, Vancouver, on Saturday, March 9th.   It will be the first weekend of an ongoing indoor market, well for March and April they will be indoors. After that, they are planning to find an outdoor location for the summer months.  Items up for sale will include handmade goods, vintage clothing & antiques, art, food, garage sale items and much more.  This a community based event in which all types of vendors are encouraged to participate. If you wish to participate as a vendor, or wish to volunteer, you can contact Eastside Flea by email at eastsideflea@gmail.com.
