The popular Great Grandview Garage Sale is back for another year Saturday, 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm rain or shine. Whether you are a bargain hunter, looking for an awesome vintage find, or just a great deal on something, this is the spot to be. If you are looking to sell items, you have lots of time to prepare. The Great Grandview Garage Sale is a neighbourhood wide multi-family garage sale that takes place, as the name eludes, throughout the Grandview-Woodlands area of East Vancouver. Specifically from Broadway to the Burrard Inlet and from Clark Drive to Nanaimo Street. If you live in the area, you are invited to participate and it is FREE to sign up.   Of course, if you have some young entrepreneur at home, a lemonade stand for all those thirsty shoppers might come in handy. VOKRA – Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association Hosts Cat Themed Garage Sale May 18 & 19

Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA) is hosting a feline themed Garage Sale on May 18th and 19th. If you aren’t familiar with VOKRA, it is a volunteer driven non-profit organization based in East Vancouver.   It is run by passionate volunteers who assist the community with lost, stray and feral cats and kittens.  They will be offering a treasure hunt like garage sale where you can expect to find all kinds of toys, cat carriers, pet beds, cat trees, litter boxes, toys and even cat themed décor.   All funds raised help them continue the great work that they do helping those that can’t speak for themselves. We invite you to stop by May 18th 11:00 am to 5:00 pm or Sunday, May 19th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at 2028 Wall Street and support VOKRA.

Tugboat Landing Multi-Family Garage Sale Saturday May 28th In SE Vancouver

If you are on the hunt for some great finds, you may wish to check out the Tugboat Landing Multi-Family Garage Sale happening Saturday, May 28th in SE Vancouver. The garage sale happens at 2010 East Kent Avenue (at Victoria Drive) just a block below Marine Drive. This is an indoor event which means it goes ahead rain or shine from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. If you aren’t familiar with the area, it is located on a public walkway and cycle path just steps away from Gladstone Park and less than a mile West of the new River District development.

At the Tugboat Landing Large Multi-Family Garage Sale you can expect to find a variety of items including vintage clothing and household items from Vintage East Van and The General Vintage. You will also find a large selection of items from local residents including new clothing, home décor, gardening supplies, art work, books, shoes, ceramics and much more. We understand at last count 15 vendors will be on hand. There will also be some refreshments and snacks will be available by donation.

Free street parking is available in the area. For those travelling by bus, the Victoria 20 will get you within 2 blocks of the venue and the 100 bus that travels East and West along Marine between 22nd St Station and the Marpole Loop stops at Victoria and Marine Drive, 1 block from the venue. Stop by, you never know what you might find.

Great Grandview Garage Sale Returns June 17, 2017

This  multi-family garage sale now in its 4th year draws a crowd even in the rain which we hear put a bit of a damper on things last year. This event takes place throughout the Grandview-Woodlands area of East Vancouver. Specifically from Broadway to the Burrard Inlet and from Clark Drive to Nanaimo Street. If you live in the area, you are invited to participate and it is FREE to sign up. Note though, for organizers there is some effort to put it all together and get signs printed. This year you will see a ‘Donate’ button on their main page. Organizers are asking for a small donation of $2-5 to cover the cots of signs and for a $10 donation they will thrown in a sign for you. Having done a fair bit of organizing in our day, we think this is more than fair.  Whether you live in a home, walk up apartment building, co-operative housing, no matter, everyone is welcome to participate.
