1st Annual Riverside Street Vibe Festival August 27

Wesgroup Properties presents the 1st Annual Riverside Street Vibe Festival happening Saturday August 27th in River District.  The event will feature live music, food trucks, local artisans and a beer garden. This inaugural event takes place between Boundary Road and Rivergrass Drive on East Kent Avenue North. For those driving, there is ample free shaded parking in the industrial area on Boundary Road a short walk away. Movie Under The Stars Now July 13th in River District

If you had been looking forward to last week’s Movie Under The Stars in River District hosted by Wesgroup Properties, Prospera Credit Union and River District Physio, you may have heard it was postponed due to rain. The event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 13th.   They will be showing the movie Black Panther at dusk (approximately 10:00 pm).  The cost is $10 per person which includes a goodie bag filled with snacks. Admission is free for kids under the age of 12.  For those attending, you are asked to arrive early to claim your spot. The location of the event will be 3302 North Arm Avenue which is the current location of the River District Sales Centre. Free Drive-In Movies At River District September 15th – October 13th

DriveInMovieDrive-In Movies are back at River District on the Fraser River in SE Vancouver. Wesgroup Properties and River District are hosting double feature films starting Saturday, September 15th that will be running weekly until October 27th and guess what, they are FREE! The Drive-In is located at 3650 E. Kent Avenue South which is located 1/2 a block south of Marine Way at Boundary Road.  Gates open at 6:30 pm and the movie gets under way at 7:15 pm with the second show getting under way at 9:30 pm (approximate times).  River District will provide you with the FM station for audio, so you need a working FM station to partake. This event is first come first serve, so best to arrive early to claim your spot. We’ve set out the schedule below as we know it today.  Note, these are subject to change without notice. Summer Savour At River District July 21st With The Boom Booms & Grooveport

TheBoomBoomsRiver District and Wesgroup Properties present Summer Savour at the River District Town Centre.  You are invited to attend some summer fun down by the river in SE Vancouver. Summer Savour happens for 4 Saturdays during the course of the summer and will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, activities for the kids, giveaways, a photobooth and much more.  Saturday July 21st kicks off the first of this series which will feature a performance by young up and coming band Grooveport at 4:00 pm and then East Van’s very own Boom Booms take the stage at 7:00 pm.   Everything Wine will be on hand with wine and cheese samples for Saturday’s kick off event. The following event happens on Saturday, August 11th and is a more family friendly event with The Paw Patrol, balloon animals, face and mural painting, but Starbucks will be on hand with iced coffee samples. The next event follows on Saturday, August 25th and will feature live music by Dr. Strangelove. There will be free sliders and craft beer samples on hand provided by Romer’s Burger Bar. Last up is Saturday, September 8th and it will be a Block Party Finale which includes the opportunity to win $500.  The party kicks off at 4:00 pm each event, save for the finale which kicks off at 2:00 pm.
