Story Story Lie is back at the Rio Theatre for another fun evening of storytelling Tuesday, April 26th. This is a much anticipated x-rated edition which be sure to have some entertaining stories. If you are not familiar with the premise of the show, storytellers take the stage to tell some wild stories, all of the stories are true, but ONE. Can you spot the liar? They will be kicking off their 4th season with unreal stories that are likely to give you goosebumps just in time for Halloween. If you aren’t familiar with the premise of Story Story Lie, it’s simple. A group of Vancouver’s best storytellers, comedians, and performers share unique stories that seem too tall to be true. The catch? Only ONE of the SIX stories is a lie. During the show audience members get to question the contestants in an attempt to reveal the liar. Vancouver Story Slam Invitational At The Wise Hall April 25th With Our Writer Al Tee

Vancouver Story Slam is Canada’s longest-running live monthly storytelling competition. On April 25th, you are invited to a special invitational edition of Vancouver Story Slam as part of Verses Festival of Words happening April 18th to 29th. The Vancouver Story Slam Invitational takes place at the Wise Hall. It features ten storytellers including our contributing writer Al Tee who will be taking the stage to share original short stories for cash and prizes. 50 audience members will receive voting ballots to select the night’s winning storytellers. In December, the 2017 Story Slam Championship Final sold out the 420-seat Rio, so you may wish to get your tickets sooner vs. later. You can find them at Brown Paper Tickets. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the event gets under way at 6:45 pm. Advance tickets are $10 or $12 at the door. This is a 19+ event with no minors, cash bar will be available.
