Figaro’s Garden Centre is hosting another great workshop this month. On September 21st, you are invited to join them for an Intro to Bouquet Making With Local Flowers. This is a hands-on evening class in which you will learn to how to make beautiful floral arrangements. All necessary tools are provided for you, just bring your creativity. The instructors are experienced cut flower growers who are passionate about local blooms and will delve into the benefits of using local blooms. This 2 hour workshops kicks off at 7:30 pm. Pasta Like A Pro: Southern Italia – February 23, 2023
If you love fresh pasta, this class is for you. You are invited to roll up your sleeves and learn how to make some Italian staples from scratch. This is a hands-on class in which Chef Deniz while guide you through each step. You’ll leave this class with the working knowledge of how to make your own dough, form authentic Italian pasta shapes, create a timeless ragu, plus garnishing the Mediterranean way. Cheesemaking 101: Mozzarella, Bocconcini & Burrata – March 5, 2023
You are invited to learn how to create your own mozzarella, burrata and bocconcini using store bought milk. This class is led by Paula Nelson-Maddison who will teach you the science behind cheese in this 2 hour taste, touch and feel demonstration class. Paula will also show you unique and creative ways of serving these cheeses. For this demonstration class, each student will take home a kit so you can make 4 pounds of cheese at home along with online support.

An Evening With The Acorn: Vegetables Re-Imagined – Sept. 21, 2022

Cookies with Lizzy: Spooky Sugar Halloween Treats – Sept. 25, 2022
Chef Lizzy Wong from Butter Baked Goods invites you to spend a Sunday afternoon learning how to colourfully decorate seasonal cookies using classic royal icing techniques on sugar cookies. You can expect to learn about consistency, colouring, piping techniques, flooding, and as well as some advanced techniques. Added bonus, each class starts with a delicious mimosa a nibble on baked goods and fresh fruit while Lizzie guides you through the class. Each attendee from this class will leave with delicious cookies to take home and share with your loved ones and of course armed with the knowledge to make more at home just in time for Halloween.
Dumpling 101: Pinch Me I’m Dreaming – Sept. 28, 2022
Chef Deniz will be hosting this hands-on cooking class in which you learn about the perfect dough, decadent fillings and classic technique for dumplings. “Pinch Me I’m Dreaming” will also highlight regional stuffings and fillings from around the world and the variations on folds and pinches to create showstopping plates to impress any guest.
