Sunday School Wine Education Is Back At Vancouver Urban Winery

22 Jan

VUWSundaySchool2014

Starting this Sunday, January 26th, Vancouver Urban Winery’s Sunday School is back with some wine education classes.  This weekend’s class is “The Price is Wrong”.   They will help answer what price has got to do with it when choosing wines.  The hosts will take you through a series of blind tastings of both inexpensive as well as some more expensive wines. To keep things fair, the wines will be from the same grape and the same country, just a different price tag.   You decide what you like best, as in the end, it all comes down to taste and what you like.  Classes run from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, doors open at 6:00 pm and you are invited to stay post class for a mix & mingle from 9:00 – 10:00 pm. Tickets are $40 and available from Vancouver Urban Winery, 55 Dunlevy Avenue. If you can’t make this week’s class, upcoming classes include:

February 16:              France vs the New World

March 16:             Sommelier Smack Down: the Rematch (SOLD OUT)

March 30:            Sommelier Smack Down (Bonus Class Added)

April 20:               Food Fight: The Great Beer vs. Wine Showdown

May 18:                 BC vs. the World: Round III

June 15:                The Cider House Rules
