Reclaimed Wood Sale – 2288 Clark Drive – Feb. 1st & Feb. 2nd 

First Growth Reclaimed has ‘TONS of reclaimed wood for sale” at discounted prices as well as a few tables that will be available.  Visit them at 2288 Clark Drive Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Watch for the Unbuilders sign.

Old Time Dance Party – Wise Hall – February 1st

If you love to dance, whether the 2 step, square dance or the country waltz, this is the spot to be Friday night.  The Old Time Dance Party with music by the Wooly Bears. Doors open 8:00 pm, dancing begins at 9:00 pm. Tickets are from $17.50.

Italian Culinary & Brewery Tour – Vancouver Brewery Tours – Feb. 1 & 2

This is your last weekend to catch Vancouver Brewery Tours delish dining experience featuring Italian food and great local beer.  Get picked up at Waterfront Station and you will be driven to each location in your tour which is 3.5 hours. Live Music With Jillian Lake – Havana Theatre – February 1st

You are invited down to Havana Theatre on the Drive for an intimate evening of live music by local neo-folk artist, Jillian Lake.  She will be featuring songs off her recently released E.P. ‘Honey’ as well as new unreleased singles off her upcoming full length record and a selection of covers. Tickets are $11 and available in advance through Showpass.

Bakery Pop Up – les amis du fromage – February 2nd

Ritchie’s Bakery will be on hand at les amis du fromage’s East Van location (843 East Hastings Street) this Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm with freshly baked bread and other sweet treats.

Circle Game: Reimagining The Music Of Joni Mitchell – Firehall Arts Centre  

The Firehall Arts Centre brings the music of a Canadian icon to the stage again this weekend with the Circle Game: Reimagining the Music of Joni Mitchell. A stellar line up of musicians will be performing her songs. For tickets information, visit Firehall Arts Centre.

Comedy, Entertainment & Live Music

Looking for more live music, did you know The Heatley in Strathcona regularly features live music?  Every Sunday they offer bluegrass music with brunch 11 am – 3 pm.

Also 7 days a week, you will find live music at the Libra Room on The Drive. Tangent Café hosts live jazz Sunday nights  from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Saturday, Pat’s Pub has live jazz Saturday afternoons from 3-7 pm, no cover.

Looking to shop local? Be sure to check out one of the farmer markets happening this weekend. Saturday is Riley Park Farmers Market 10 am – 2 pm.
