If you have, you will come across an area called Tugboat Landing at the foot of Victoria Drive at East Kent Avenue South. If you aren’t familiar with this area, it once housed tugboats at this landing on the Fraser River hence the name. It was redeveloped into a community of condos and townhomes that enjoy river front living. The area is located on a public walkway and cycle path just steps away from Gladstone Park and less than a mile West of the growing River District development.
Here you will find the 6th Annual Tugboat Landing Artisan Market. This is a boutique artisan market that happens on December 3rd & 4th in SE Vancouver at 2010 East Kent Avenue at the foot of Victoria Drive. They have a great line up of vendors that make it fun and easy to shop for gifts in an inviting and cozy space.
Some of what you can expect to find include handmade artisan chocolates by Ladner Artisan Chocolates, stunning sterling silver jewellery by Sole Tibi Studio, dog wear by ScouterWear and dog treats by Barks & Biscuits for your 4 legged friends. If you are looking for gifts for the wee ones, Guava Jelly will be on hand with handpainted infant wear and t-shirts. If you are looking for hostess gifts, Tea Lani with handcrafted teas and handmade artistic soaps by Ava Luna Creations.
If you are looking to do some entertaining over the holidays, you may wish to check out Mad Laboratory Distilling who will be hand with their small batch spirits. Their spirits will pair nicely with Koldie’s Mixers which cocktail mixers come in 4 delicious flavours. If you are looking for non-alcoholic options to serve over the holidays, Everything Wine – River District will on hand providing samples of their selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
What would the holidays be without some sweet treats? Swiss Bakery will be on hand Saturday, December 3rd with Gingermen, Gingerwomen, Gingerbread House Kits, sugar cookies and German Stollen. If you love handcrafted leather goods, be sure to check out DiG Leather. Artist, Sheena Singh, will be featuring handpainted holiday decor. Looking for live holiday décor, 8BFlowerco will be featuring bouquets, Grinch trees and more.
Bower Fibre Goods will also be on hand with beautifully crafted textiles and LoveandLucyCo with candles, gem stones and jewellery. ILiveInEastVan will be on site with a selection of totes, t-shirts and their new sew-on reflective patches. Knit Collective will be on hand with cozy designs to keep you warm this winter. Lots of great options to shop and support local this holiday season.
This boutique artisan market has been deemed a Hidden Gem and 1 of 17 Happening Holiday Markets by Destination Vancouver. It’s a cozy inviting space away from all the crazy crowds. Stop by for hot cocoa or coffee and some sweet treats while warming up in front of the fireplace. Food and drink will be available by donation with all proceeds going to BC SPCA and SAINTS (Senior Animals In Need Today Society) Rescue. Market hours will be 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free.
