Bomber Brewing, 1488 Adanac Street, invites you to Oktoberfest in their backyard. They will be firing up the BBQ from which you can expect a Bavarian treat hot off the grill. There will also be live music by The Creaking Planks and, of course beer, specifically their Oktoberfest Lager. Tickets for this event are $35 and available online via Eventbrite. Your ticket includes food, 2 glasses of beer and your very own Bomber Beer Stein. There will also be prizes for those that dress up and show their true Oktoberfest spirit. This is a 19+ event. The event gets under way at 2:00 pm and goes till 6:00 pm.

5th Annual BC Beer Awards & Festival October 25th At The Croatian Cultural Centre

The 5th Annual BC Beer Awards & Festival is coming to the Croatian Cultural Centre, 3250 Commercial Drive, on Saturday, October 25th. The BC Beer Awards showcases the best of locally made beer with education classes, tastings and an awards ceremony which is being hosted by CBC’s Stephen Quinn. BC’s best breweries will be on hand showcasing what they do best. This is a popular and eagerly anticipated event for brewers and beer fan and as such recommend you purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
As part of the Festival, there will also be 4 education classes on the subjects of Hops, History of Beer, Malts and Off Flavours. Tickets for these events are $15 and again early ticket purchase is recommended. Food for this event will be provided by Biercraft, the Croatian Cultural Centre and some local food trucks will also be hand to feed the masses that will sure to be in attendance. Organizers are encouraging everyone to bring a non-perishable item for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. They will be collecting donations at the door.
Early bird ticket sales are under way for $27 each with prices going up to $32 on October 10th. Each ticket includes 4 drink tokens as well as a 4 oz taster glass for you to take home. Morning Social & Yoga At 33 Acres Brewing Company Starting September 14th
22 AugYou are invited to come out for yoga, beer, brunch and to social at 33 Acres Brewing Company, 15 West 8th Avenue, starting Sunday, September 14th. Anita Cheung will be leading the yoga class with ‘flow yoga’. After class, you get to sit down for brunch and a beer all of which is included in the price. Brunch will consist of waffles or an avocado smash. If you prefer coffee, it will be available. Classes start at 9:00 am and will run for 1 1/2 hours every Sunday for 4 weeks. Day 2 Night Summer Market Explosion August 16th

Some great local talent has teamed up to bring you Day 2 Night Summer Market Explosion on Saturday, August 16th. The day (10 am – 4 pm) brings you the Eastside Flea and the night (6:00 pm to late) brings you the Hawkers Market. The all day and night event will take place at The Independent, 188 Kingsway, in Mount Pleasant and will include live bands, DJ sets, 33 Acres Brewing and as always great local food. Tickets are available in advance via Eventbrite or $15 at the door.

Special Summer Series At New Brighton Park July 27th

You are invited to a Special Summer Series hosted by Vancouver Urban Spaces Initiative this Sunday, July 27th from 1 – 9 pm. The event will be held at New Brighton Park located at 3201 New Brighton Road (at North Windermere Street). Best of the Northwest Beer Fest June 4th At The Wise Hall

As an added bonus, this Liberty-sponsored event is in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, which helps provides food for up to 25,000 people in need each week.
