13 AugFree Short Film Workshop August 23-24 In Mt. Pleasant
11 Aug
Broadway East Art Walk is hosting a new project with a view to empowering members of the community with valuable skills to create neighbourhood pride through short film.
Three experienced film mentors will be leading a free 2-day short film workshop August 23rd and 24th at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, 800 E Broadway. They will provide participants with the basic skills needed to make their own short film. The aim of the workshop is to expose people with little or no prior experience to the tools and methods required to produce a short film. They do, of course, hope participants will consider submitting their short film to the Community Film Festival which takes place in October.
Anyone from the general public is invited to review the film mentor profiles at Broadway East Art Walk and apply to participate by filling out the 2014 Film Workshop Participation Form. Note that although not everyone will be accepted to participate in the workshop, their goal is to record the sessions and make them available to the public on their website.
