ShinyFuzzyMuddyDec2019.jpgThis weekend you are invited to check out Shiny Fuzzy Muddy happening at the Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street (at 15th Avenue).  This is curated annual collection of fine art, craft and design. This is also Shiny Fuzzy Muddy’s 17th and final year of this market. The curated collective is brought to you by artists, Kari Woo, Janna Hurtzig, Arleigh Wood and Frances Dickinson and features some of Western Canada’s brightest talent.  This collaborative event provides a venue that champions craftsmanship over mass production, annually hosting over 30 Canadian and BC based artists to exhibit in an intimate environment where shoppers can mingle with the makers. Throughout the years of this long running show, over 75 Canadian visual artists, makers, designers, jewelers and potters and their products have been featured at events providing a unique platform for consumers to meet the people who create art in the city.

“It’s bittersweet that 2019 will be the final Shiny Fuzzy Muddy show, says Frances Dickinson, co-founder, of the SFM Collective, we have seen the growth of slow fashion and handmade design in Vancouver over the past 17 years and we are so proud to have championed this movement.  But now, as artists and designers who crave change and creativity, it’s time for all of us to focus on new projects.”
